The story behind Britney Mae Nutrition

Hi! I'm Britney, and I'm so glad you're here.

I founded Britney Mae Nutrition after dealing with my own significant health symptoms that "the right nutrition" alone wasn't solving.

I spent years wondering why nothing was changing for me and getting frustrated that the needle wasn't moving, despite doing everything "right".  I would eat less and exercise more, only to wake up the next day to see the number on the scale go UP!

 

I was feeling completely defeated, and so lost in my health journey.  I was doing everything I was “supposed to do”, but it simply was not working. My metabolism was completely tanked. I had no energy, my sleep was a disaster, I was exhausted after my workouts, my mood was unpredictable, and it was starting to affect my relationships and the way I parented. I knew I needed to change something!

So here's what I did next...

I did exactly what you may have tried to do yourself: I dove headfirst into the research for the sake of my own health. 

 

I had been in the health and wellness space since 2012, but really I had been subscribed to this eat less, exercise more mentality since I was in high school. 

 

Finally I had my lightbulb moment, and realized what my body actually needed. I started eating to FUEL my body, and exercising with the goal to build lean muscle mass and feel strong and confident again. I made huge shifts in my daily routines to help manage stress, and ultimately to balance my hormones and ignite my metabolism again. 

 

Of course, this did not happen overnight. It took time and a lot of consistency; but I felt like I had unlocked the secret that all women NEED to know.

This health journey I took led me back to myself.  It gave me back my energy and vitality, and I started feeling really good in my own body again. But most importantly, it has led me to you. I truly believe that feeling amazing is not only our birthright but it is possible for every single one of us. I’m so grateful to FINALLY feel this way again, but even more grateful to get to live my passion, which is helping women (who are struggling just like I was) to feel really good in their bodies again!

My approach

A holistic wellness approach

My approach to coaching is holistic in nature. I recognize the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit. Together we will work to explore the different dimensions of your life, so you can achieve balance and resilience in all aspects. We will not only dive deep into balancing the body through nutrition and movement, but we will create a lifestyle that supports your mental, emotional, and spiritual health as well.

Together we will identify habits and behaviours that are no longer serving you. We will harness your strength and create approachable steps you can implement in creating a lifestyle that not only feels really good, but will get you the results you are looking for.
